However, with so many to choose from how can you possibly know which one will be best? It is best recommended that you choose good oven cleaner solutions to use that are naturally concocted with baking soda and vinegar separately. It will make for a great alternative to commercial cleansers and you will also love the results.
The Tools You Will Need for Cleaning Your Kitchen Oven
The tools you will need for cleaning your kitchen oven include the following: rubber gloves to keep your hands from spreading even more the grime instead of efficiently eliminating it 1. A couple of pieces of damp dish cloth to alternately use for wiping off the stains in the oven. 2. A plastic or silicone spatula to scrape off the cleaning paste. 3. A spray bottle to contain your vinegar. 4. A small mixing bowl for concocting the cleaning paste.
A Good Oven Cleaner: How to Make Baking Soda Paste
To make baking soda paste as an
effective cleaning agent for your kitchen oven, you will need to mix ½ cup of baking soda with at least three tablespoons of water. Do this in a clean small mixing bowl. You can adjust on the amount of either of the two parts as necessary until you achieve a solution that is viscous yet spreadable. On the side, prepare you vinegar in a spray bottle so that it will be ready. This will come in handy later on in the oven cleaning process.
The Oven Cleaning Procedure with A Good Oven Cleaner:
Taking out the Detachable Pieces
Remove the oven racks and any other detachable parts of the oven. Put them aside for now.
Applying the Organic Cleaning Paste
Once your kitchen oven is clear of any
removable items, spread the baking soda and water paste over the inside surfaces of the oven. But be extra careful not to touch any of the heating elements of the appliance. To be sure, you may use aluminum foil to cover these parts while applying the cleaning paste. You may directly use your rubber gloves to distribute the cleaning paste. This will better help when
cleaning the oven surfaces of grime and stains. Along the way, the paste will turn darker in color as it blends in with the grime and stains. This is perfectly fine. Just try and coat the entire interior of the kitchen oven while paying special attention to the dirtier and greasier areas. Leave your oven covered in cleaning paste overnight. Allow the baking soda and water mixture to sit in there for at least 12 hours. It is best if you can do this overnight.
Cleaning the Oven Rack
Meanwhile, you may clean the oven racks and the rest of the detachable parts of your oven. You should soak them in warm soapy water and carefully scrub them with a
dishcloth or any regular soft kitchen sponge. Wipe them dry after but be sure to air dry them too to make sure that they are thoroughly dried before putting them back in your oven.
Back to Your Oven After 12 Hours or So
Now it is time to take one of your damp dish cloths to wipe the cleaning paste off the oven interior. You can change your damp dish cloth with another one as needed and you can also use your spatula to scrape off the paste that turns out to be more difficult to come off. While damp dish cloths are usually enough, a spatula can help you clean any areas which are difficult to reach with only a cloth in hand.
Good Oven Cleaner: Spraying the Vinegar
You will only need a little amount of
vinegar as part of your good oven cleaner. Spritz it where there is still some baking soda residue on the oven. You will see how the vinegar will react with the solution and will begin to foam. This foaming will be the perfect time for you to easily wipe off the rest of the cleaning paste. As well, the vinegar will serve as the finishing touch to cleaning your kitchen oven and will even make it look shiny. Thereafter, put back the dry oven racks in their proper place and your clean oven will be ready to go.
